What we do
Eduremo is an online tutoring service for every learner in Egypt: school pupils in every system, university students, adults learning a language or preparing for a test, and anyone memorising the Quran or learning Arabic. We also teach Egyptian learners who live abroad and follow the Egyptian curriculum. You tell us what you want to learn, we suggest a tutor who knows the curriculum and the stage, and lessons begin online at times that suit you.
We also open the door to Egyptian tutors: graduates and teachers outside government employment who teach online, for learners in Egypt and for Egyptian learners in the Gulf. We work with them as independent teaching partners and value their time and expertise.
Our tutors
How we choose tutors
Each of the 1,800+ tutors in our network has passed the six checks below, and we run them again before we suggest a tutor to any learner.
Depth in the subject
We look for tutors who know their subject well beyond the school book, who can answer the hard question and connect an idea to what comes before and after it.
The curriculum itself
The Egyptian Baccalaureate differs from the Thanaweya Amma, and IGCSE from the American Diploma, in the style of the questions and in how the marks are shared out. Each tutor teaches the curricula they know well, and we check that knowledge before we suggest them.
Teaching experience
We prefer tutors who have already taught learners at the same stage, in a classroom or one to one, and who can explain one idea in more than one way.
Clear explanation
Each tutor teaches a sample lesson that we review against a written standard: an orderly explanation, frequent checks for understanding, a pace that suits the learner, and a short summary at the end.
Safeguarding for children
Everyone who teaches children agrees to our safeguarding rules before the first lesson: a parent may join any lesson, a child learns in a shared space at home, and all contact runs through the agreed channels.
Current job first
We ask every applicant about their current job before anything else. Egyptian rules restrict private lessons for teachers serving in schools, for university teaching staff and for civil servants, so we review applications from these groups one by one and never activate them automatically. We value these colleagues and respect the rules that govern their work.
For every learner
What you can expect
A tutor who fits
We choose the tutor by curriculum, stage, subject and language, and by the times that suit you. You may ask for a female or a male tutor.
Notes on your progress
The tutor sends regular notes: what was covered, what improved and what to practise next. When the learner is a child, the parent receives the same notes.
Free tutor replacement
If a tutor does not suit you, let us know and we introduce another who teaches your curriculum. The change costs you nothing.
Clear terms and prices in Arabic
Before any paid lesson you receive a lesson agreement in Arabic, with an English copy on request, setting out the service, the all-in price in Egyptian pounds, scheduling, cancellation and refunds.
What we value
Four values behind every lesson
- Care
- We see each learner as a person with their own pace, worries and strengths, and we teach with patience, step by step.
- Clarity
- Plain explanations in lessons, honest notes on progress, and terms written to be easy to understand.
- Respect
- Every learner is welcome, whatever their faith, governorate or background, and we plan lessons around their day, customs and feasts.
- Steadiness
- Learning grows through regular, well-prepared lessons. The same tutor stays with a learner term after term, so trust builds over time.

For tutors
A home for Egyptian tutors
If you are a graduate or a teacher outside government employment, you can teach online for learners in Egypt and for Egyptian learners in the Gulf, from where you are and at times you set. You work with us as an independent teaching partner, under a written agreement in Arabic.
The application starts with a question about your current job, then the subjects and curricula you teach and your experience.
Tell us what you want to learn
A few lines about the curriculum or course, the stage and the goal are enough for us to suggest a tutor. For a child, the grade and the subject are all we need.
